Coupe du Monde 2026 – RDC (Gr K) : Rocky Bushiri forfait, Aaron Tshibola en renfort
Coup dur pour les Léopards de la RDC à quelques semaines de la Coupe du Monde 2026. Rocky Bushiri ne participera finalement pas à la compétition mondiale en raison d’une blessure contractée avec son club écossais d’Hibernian, le week-end passé. Titulaire samedi dernier lors de la rencontre de championnat opposant Hibernian à Motherwell, le défenseur de 26 ans n’a disputé que 16 minutes avant de quitter prématurément ses coéquipiers. Les examens médicaux réalisés par la suite ont confirmé une indisponibilité incompatible avec les échéances de la sélection congolaise. Il est remplacé par Aaron Tshibola. Dans un communiqué publié ce mercredi, la Fédération Congolaise de Football Association (FECOFA) a officialisé le forfait du joueur. « La Fédération Congolaise de Football Association informe du forfait de Rocky Bushiri pour la Coupe du Monde 2026, suite à une blessure contractée lors de son dernier match avec son club. Afin de compléter la liste des 26 Léopards sélectionnés, le staff technique a convoqué Aaron Tshibola, joueur de Kilmarnock FC, en remplacement. La FECOFA souhaite un bon rétablissement à Rocky Bushiri », a communiqué l’instance. Ancien international belge dans les catégories d’âge, Rocky Bushiri était présent à la dernière CAN avec les Léopards. Il a disputé le troisième match de groupe contre le Botswana, remporté 1-0 par les Congolais. À ce jour, il compte 7 sélection, pour un but marqué. Pour rappel, la RDC évolue dans le groupe K de la Coupe du Monde en compagnie du Portugal, de la Colombie et de l’Ouzbékistan.

Tonight, the third code goes out in the Athlete edition of the gsport Newsletter, and the application to work on the 21st gsport Awards is now a single week away. albergomalica.it

If you’ve collected both codes so far, hold on to them. If you’ve collected one, this is the week to make it two. If you’ve collected none, this is the week to subscribe at gsport.co.za and pick up where the campaign is. By the time the fourth code goes out next Wednesday, the application opens, and what you bring to it is shaped by what you’ve been paying attention to over the four weeks of this campaign.
But the codes are not the test. The test is whether you should be on the crew, and the application asks that directly. The codes simply tell us how closely you’ve been listening. That matters too, but it is not the whole picture.
Tonight’s edition is dedicated to the sportswomen themselves: the athletes whose work over the past year has changed what is possible for the women who come next. The categories of Athlete of the Year, Para Sport Star, Emerging Athlete of the Year, School Sports Star of the Year, Team of the Year, African Woman in Sport, and Global Woman in Sport are open for public nomination at gsport.co.za through 31 May, 2026.
Each one names a different shape of excellence, and between them they cover the full breadth of what a year in South African women’s sport actually looks like. From the Cape Epic to Old Trafford. From a school field in KwaZulu-Natal to a continental podium. From the Paralympic stage to the global one. If a sportswoman has marked this past year for you, name her. Put her forward.

The timing of this edition is no accident. In just over three weeks, the Proteas Women open the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England as back-to-back finalists. The Springbok Women’s Sevens are deep into their HSBC SVNS season. South Africa’s hockey women are preparing for their World Cup. The women on those squads, and the women whose names are not on those squads but who have made other quieter histories this year, all of them are eligible.
The Athlete edition exists to remind you of that.
And it brings us, as the previous editions have, to the work of the crew the gsport Awards will need this year. Every athlete who walks across that stage in August will do so because a team of people made the moment possible.
Photographers who know which corner of the room to be in when the announcement comes. Writers who can tell her story in the time it takes the room to applaud. Producers who can hold the pace of an evening that has to feel both monumental and personal. Live posters who can put the moment on a hundred thousand timelines before she’s walked back to her seat. Volunteers who walk her from green room to stage to interview to backstage, and never make her feel walked. If one of those roles is yours, this campaign is your invitation.

LDC UEFA PSG – Arsenal : Luis Enrique annonce avoir un groupe au complet pour la finale
À dix jours de la finale de la Ligue des Champions, prévue le 30 mai à Budapest entre le Paris Saint-Germain et Arsenal, Luis Enrique a tenu un discours rassurant concernant l’état de son groupe. Le technicien espagnol a confirmé que l’ensemble de ses joueurs est disponible et prêt pour l’échéance européenne. Des nouvelles rassurantes pour Hakimi et Dembélé Deux incertitudes entouraient le groupe parisien ces derniers jours : Achraf Hakimi, sorti blessé lors de la demi-finale aller face au Bayern Munich, et Ousmane Dembélé, remplacé prématurément lors du dernier match de championnat. Malgré ces inquiétudes, l’entraîneur du PSG a assuré qu’ils étaient tous deux opérationnels, précisant que chacun suit une préparation adaptée mais sans alerte particulière. Une préparation axée sur les détails avant la finale Luis Enrique a insisté sur l’importance de la semaine de préparation à venir, marquée par un équilibre entre récupération, ajustements tactiques et travail spécifique. Il a souligné que son équipe se concentre désormais sur les derniers détails offensifs et défensifs avant d’affronter Arsenal dans une finale qu’il anticipe particulièrement exigeante. L’entraîneur parisien a également salué la saison des Londoniens, estimant qu’ils ont réalisé un parcours remarquable et représentent un adversaire redoutable dans tous les compartiments du jeu.
